This song is awesome any time of year, and any year for Singing Time!

“A Child’s Prayer” Eraser Pass
This Eraser Pass game is great for Senior primary. I would also make sure the kids know the song well before you do it! This printable includes verses 1 and 2.
A Child’s Prayer Personal Story
This is a personal story from my own life- names have been changed! I truly believe personal stories are important for the children to hear on a regular basis, so consider using real, not made-up stories. They don’t have to be from your own life, but borrowing from someone else’s life is just fine. The kids can tell if the story is real or not.
Sing the bolded lyrics between parts of the story!
“A Child’s Prayer” Rolling Rhythm Sticks
This song is ideal for rolling rhythm sticks for Senior primary, and possibly Junior primary (every primary is different — you may modify it to just be a stick pass rather than a roll).
Watch Sharla Dance demonstrate how to do it!
“A Child’s Prayer” Clap Instead
This activity is great for review! Give the children key words in the song that you want them to “clap” on instead of singing. Repeated words like “I/me/my” or “you/He/him” are great because it helps the kids realize the song is about them and their Heavenly Father.
