“I’ll Walk with You” Singing Time Ideas

The ultimate song for helping include others, I love this song so much.

“I’ll Walk with You” Spoon Actions

This activity is GOLD! Watch Camille demonstrate. Your kids are going to love it. I like to use jerky and clean motions with my spoons on this song to match the strong beat.

“I’ll Walk With You” Chair Movement Activity

This is a no-prep activity!

Make sure at the end of each row, there is an extra chair. Ask kids to listen for every time you sing “You” or “I” and to move over one chair when they sing it (alternating left and right)! They’ll be moving and squishing each other, and it will be fun and get plenty of giggles because of how often you sing those two words.

“I’ll Walk With You” Melody Map

Post the melody map on the board and sing through the song.

Focus on pointing to the symbols as you sing so they can help interpret it. Ask what they see and notice happening on the different dots and words. Receive their answers little by little. Repeat singing the song as many times as you can in 5-7 minutes.
