“I Know My Father Lives” Singing Time Ideas

I Know My Father Lives is a classic you will continue to see over and over!

“I Know my Father Lives” Drawing Activity

Sing through the song, and while you sing, ask the kids to listen for what things the song mentions.

Pass out paper (1/4 sheets) and pencils. Ask the kids to draw something that they think of while they listen to you sing the song over and over again.

Receive their papers back and compliment them on their drawings. Our senior primary did such a cute job with this! Every child thinks of things a little differently.

“I Know My Father Lives” Put Words in Order

For Senior Primary, (and possibly junior primary if you have older kids who can read) print out key words to the song, and put them on the board (out of order). As you sing, tap one child at the time on the shoulder to come up and put the words in order.

The song is very short, so I included verses 1 and 2 in the print-out.

ALTERNATIVE: Print this out and put the words into several envelopes for Senior Primary kids in small groups of 3-4 kids to put in order! This makes it a little more interactive.
