“I Feel my Savior’s Love” Singing Time Ideas

A classic song you’re going to want to sing over and over!

“I Feel My Savior’s Love” Waves of the Sea

This is a great no-prep activity, exploring dynamics. Use your hands to mimic the waves of the ocean as you sing. When the music is soft, make gentle waves with your hands. When it crescendos, MAKE BIG WAVES! have the kids join you, and give different groups of kids turns to be in front leading with their hands and following the dynamics.

“I Feel My Savior’s Love” Hearts Activity

Print out 2 hearts per primary kid.

While singing through the song as many times as you can, ask the kids to draw or write something that helps them feel the Savior’s love for them.

Before they go home, give them an extra heart to take home to a grown up, and ask their grown up to do the same thing: to write or draw something, and talk about it together!

“I Feel My Savior’s Love” Magic Crayon

A great activity for junior primary, requiring very little prep!

Think of the things in nature that help you feel the Savior’s love (Mountains, Sunset, Ocean, a Flower, etc). Pull out your “invisible magic crayon” from behind you, and as you sing, draw the different things in the air (big motions! and cross your body with your arm often in your drawing). Ask the kids to follow along as you do it.

Ask if the kids noticed what they were drawing as you went. Sing again, and see if they notice what things in nature they’re “drawing.”

Ask the kids for their ideas on what you could draw, receive a few answers from the kids, and sing one more time with some new drawings in the air.
