“Home Can Be a Heaven on Earth” Singing Time Ideas

This song works well for many topics and many times of the year! We are going to sing it in Sacrament Meeting for Mother’s Day since it’s one of the suggested songs for the year.

“Home Can Be a Heaven on Earth” Box Stacking Activity

This is a variation on “Pictures out of Order” or “Dropped Pictures.” But essentially, the pictures go on the side of boxes, that are scattered around the room. The children’s job is to order the images from top to bottom, or bottom to top, in order of the song lyrics.

I’m purposely doing box stacking on the Sunday when we talk about King Benjamin speaking from the temple/tower, so I can use it as an object lesson in addition to a fun activity!

Use your own images, or feel free to download and print these icons. I like to make icons rather than super-specific images, so that I can use and re-use the same images throughout different songs, saving paper and printer ink. I also often laminate them too!
