This song is great anytime, but I love it for the Book of Mormon especially!
“Faith” Seed Activity

Bring seeds to primary and place in cups (any kind will do! We used pumpkin seeds because that’s what I had at home). You can write the word FAITH on the chalkboard.
For Junior Primary: write the word FAITH on their plates. You can have kids in groups of 3-4 do it together where they place the seeds along the lines to spell out faith.
For Senior Primary, pass out blank paper plates and have each kid spell out “Faith” on their plate. They can get creative with cursive or whatever. You can have them do it in small groups or alone, just depends on your size of group.
Sing through the song as many times as you can while they are working on their seeds and plates. Our kids loved this activity!
“Faith” Growing Body Activity
This is a no-prep activity that will test the kids’ ability to move slowly!
Basically you tell the kids they need to pretend to be seedlings growing into a tree or a flower. Have them imagine what they will be when they are grown. But! They have to grow while we sing the song, very very slowly.
Sing through the song once together and demonstrate growing into whatever you’re going to grow into. Then have them join you, and emphasize they have to grow slowly.
Ask them what they grew into, and receive their answers. Sing again, asking them to grow into something else.
“Faith” Shadow Puppet Activity
For some visual intrigue, use these shadow puppets and put them on sticks to show your primary! Print out and cut out the puppets below and use skewers or popsicle sticks to show them against a light. The kids will be still and pay close attention while you do it!
You might light to draw connections between dark and light/ faith and doubt as you teach with this activity.
For the sun rising, you can make it look like the sun is coming up. For the growing flower, you can play with how far/near the flower is to the light source to make it look like it’s growing.
